"Explore" from here
If you are like me, you've turned off
the Mac-like folder interface. Occsionally though you might need
a fast way to get multiple copies of Explorer running. This will
set up an entry on your context menu when you right click folders
that lets you launch a seperate copy of Explorer from the folder
you right click on:
Run RegEdit
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
Folder
shell
"shell" should be highlighted
at this time.
- Go to the "Edit" menu
and choose "New", "Key".
- Name the key: rootexplore
- Click on the "open"
folder.
- Double-Click the
"Default" entry from the right window.
- Change the "Value data"
to: Explore from Here
- Click OK.
"rootexplore" should be
highlighted at this time.
- Go to the "Edit" menu
and choose "New", "Key".
- Name the key: command
- Click on the "command"
folder.
- Double-Click the
"Default" entry from the right window.
- Change the "Value data"
to: Explorer.exe /e,/root,/idlist,%I
- Click OK.
