Dragons' Star is a Diku-style Multi-User Dimension (MUD). Dragons' Star takes place in sector of space where the legendary Gem Dragons are said to reside, hence the name. The sector itself is rich in diverse races, advanced technology, and mana--the lifeforce behind magic. Each race specializes in a sphere (or type) of abilities, yet each race is not limited to the abilities in their particular sphere. Players may pick and choose which abilities they would like to have, giving the Player complete control over character development.

We have been Live since October 31, 1996.

We have most of the features of a standard DikuMUD, but with these exceptions:

The Game

• An original space theme with original background story.
• Spaceships and space travel used to get to many different worlds.
• There are no rent fees for equipment, and recalling is done by command, not spell.
• All equipment and items in inventory are automatically saved.
• All information boards can be accessed from anywhere within the game. A Player can roam through space and check the News board if he/she wants. Mail works the same way.

Character Development

• Select from any of 10 Races.
• Pick from any of the 450+ abilities available to all characters.
• Natural characteristics can be modified temporarily with equipment or permanently with cybernetic modifications.
• Choose a Profession to further add uniqueness to the character.
• Enter one of the three Guilds to gain status and power.
• Join a Clan of other characters to enhance the social experience.
• The possibilities are endless...
